In 1996, the idea for Turn One was conceived. Jeff Roethlisberger, the founder of Turn One, was employed as a steering systems developer at the Saginaw Steering Gear Division of General Motors. With eleven years of experience in the steering industry, Jeff was contacted by a very well known race team for help with steering problems. After several trips to North Carolina to meet with the team and during the course of a few months of intense work with the team, Jeff decided that the racing industry needed quality steering products. So as a hobby, Jeff started creating his own steering gears. With his seven years of experience in power steering valve engineering, Jeff’s products offered more than the other steering providers. Soon after, Jeff was getting orders in from many different, well known race teams. Since Jeff’s conception of Turn One, the company has soared to great heights, having provided steering products for multiple champions in multiple divisions.
